Without context, NPS is simply a number. An integral part of any NPS program is understanding how your NPS stacks up against other companies in your industry. With the SurveyMonkey CX Benchmarks module in Analyze, you can see how your NPS compares to the industry as well as similar-sized companies (by employee headcount). SurveyMonkey uses over 18,000,000 NPS responses from over 97,000 organizations it has collected to provide benchmark data.
For each benchmark, you'll see the median score along with the upper and lower quartile. The dotted line down the screen indicates where your NPS falls in relation. For instance, in the below screenshot, the survey has an NPS of 14. We see that this is just below the median NPS for mid-sized consumer companies.
